Cooking with Your Kids

Cooking with Your Kids

Posted on 28. Aug, 2008 by admin in Spend A Wonderful Weekend

Some of the best times are spent cooking with your kids.  You say you don’t know how to cook?  Not a problem.  Just A Kids Kitchen owner, Tammy Hahn, is there to help.  She gives cooking classes that are geared to every one over the age of three.  Young children make the same food that everyone else does they just use age appropriate tools to do it.

One fringe benefit of the classes is that kids are more likely to try new foods if they’ve helped to prepare them.  So if you’re having trouble steering your child away from the fast food establishments this could be a big help.

Tammy’s classes are normally scheduled by age group. But she makes exceptions when you want to bring two or more children who are of varying ages so you can still cook as a family.  These classes can be adapted to special needs participants at your request.  Parents are required to stay with their children during the two hour class. She supplies all ingredients and provides all cookware and utensils.  All you have to do is show up.  When you’re finished cooking Just A Kid’s Kitchen’s store sells all of the kid safe cookware that’s needed to encourage your budding chef.

If you’d like to cook with your kids the prices are reasonable and it’s a great alternative to hitting the mall.

Just A Kids Kitchen is located at 1761 South First Street in Rogers.  You can check out their website at www.justakidskitchen.com or give Tammy Hahn a call at 479-631-2433.
