Enjoying the Season

There are so many fun activities this time of year it was impossible to narrow it down to just one. Here’s a list of some of my favorites.

• 12/3- NWACC Jazz Band Concert will take place at 7:30 pm at the NWACC Music Recital Hall in Bentonville. Call 479-619-4261 for more information.
• 12/5-10:00 am-The Academy Players of Trike Theater will perform The Polar Express in the Wal-mart Community Room of the Bentonville Public Library. Call 417-271-6816 for more information.
• 12/5-Arts Center of the Ozarks will be having their popular Breakfast with Santa again this year on December 5. There will be food, photo ops, decorating gingerbread cookies with Mr. Claus and making ornaments. Call 479-751-5441 for more information.
• 12/11-12/27- “Twas the Night” will be performed by Theatre Squared at the Walton Arts Center. The play was written by NWA’s own Robert Ford. The play is geared for all age groups. Log onto www.theatresquared.org for show times and ticket prices or call 479-571-2728.
• 124/12/13- Rogers Little Theater will be performing “It’s a Wonderful Life”. Call 479-631-8988 for show times and ticket prices.
• 12/8-The Holiday Magic Circus will be at the Rogers Activity Center from 7pm-9pm. The center is located at 315 West Olive in Rogers.
• 11/28-12/19 Saturdays only-See Santa at Basin Park in Eureka Springs from 2pm-4pm in the park. Photos will be taken by Judge Roy Beans. Stay until 5.pm for the lighting of the tree and then take a trolley ride to view the lights. What a great way to spend the evening!!
• My personal favorite is for the entire family to slip into their pajamas, pack a thermos of hot cocoa and cruise the different neighborhoods checking out the lighting displays. Don’t forget your bunny slippers!

Whatever you choose to do, have a joyous and safe holiday. We’ll see you in the new year.

Have a Wonderful Weekend !!

The Hot Spot:
Santa’s Brunch

You’re standing in an impossibly long line at the mall in hopes of seeing Santa. Just when you’re almost there it’s his break time. By the time your kids finally get to see him they’re worn out and you get a less than satisfactory picture photo op. If you’d like to see Santa in a less stress free setting try making a reservation for Santa’s Brunch at the Crescent Hotel. It will be held on December 6th this year and Santa will be there from 11 am – 2 pm. The entire family gets to have a nice meal and no standing in line. Call 479-253-9766 ext. 108 to make your reservation.
