Hello Friends! So many exciting things are happening all over Northwest Arkansas. This is definitely my favorite time of year. The leaves will start to change colors soon which will kick-start the next three months of “Happy Holidays.”

I am so glad to have the chance to share with so many of you the great adventures that have been contributed, and I have learned so much from the great advice you have offered in writing submissions, conversations,  and on the forum. Peekaboo has truly become a conversation in print between the parents that call NWA home. Being a ‘Peekaboo Parent’ means sharing advice, telling stories, and supporting one another through this great journey called “parenthood.” Continue to send your stories and ideas and don’t forget to support the businesses that have helped Peekaboo grow. (Don’t forget to mention that you “saw it in Peekaboo.”)

September really is a great time to live in Northwest Arkansas as it is home to the Arkansas Razorbacks!  The  team spirit is undeniable!

This issue is full of great stories about spending a day on the UA campus, taking your child to a game, and a great tailgating recipe.  The September issue also kicks off Peekaboo’s series on the Downtowns of Northwest Arkansas. This month take the time to learn a little about the past, present, and future of Downtown Fayetteville then go out and support the stores and restaurants that call it home. Next month look for the next in the series, a feature on Siloam Springs’ rich history and exciting future.

Need a date night idea? Lela will tell you what not to try in this month’s Chasing Date Night. I only wish I had read it before Jonathon and I did the one that topped her chart. Let’s just say we had to make a midnight run to Walgreen’s for high powered clippers and Jonathon ended up sporting an unevenly shaved head for quite sometime.

A Look at What’s To Come: Next month is the Peekaboo “Twins Issue.” If you are a parent of multiples send in your funny story and we will include it in the next issue. October is also our Halloween Issue. Have a cute costume idea or craft project send it to us at editor@peekaboonwa.com or post it on our forum at www.peekaboonwa.com/forum.

Don’t forget. We still need your birthday party stories for our birthday issue in January. If you have a party you would like to submit send it in!
