Cool Stuff – Plan Toys & Skin Food
Posted on 31. Oct, 2008 by admin in cool stuff 4 hot mamas
Holidays are obviously fast-approaching, and many moms are getting a head-start on their shopping already. I’ve been looking for a doll-house for my 5 year-old now for 2 years, and finally, I found one that is safe (meaning no lead paint) as well as aesthetically-pleasing.
A few months ago a friend emailed me about Plan toys, and when I found a local store (Terra Tots) that carried them, I realized how awesome they are. Their motto is “green toys, green company,” and they are eco-friendly as well as stylish. Architecturally unique and so un-tacky, I want one for myself. There are plenty of other toys to choose from, such as train sets, pull-toys and blocks (all lead paint-free, of course) for babies through pre-schoolers.
Honestly, they just look so cool, I’ll let them be strung all over the house. They are a bit more costly than your average Target plastic stuff, but worth it.
Check out their website and check with Terra Tots to see if they carry what you’re looking for (http://www.plantoys.com).
For us:
If you’re like me, the winter months do a number on your skin. Sometimes it seems like there is no moisturizer, aside from putting olive oil on your face, that will alleviate the icky dryness. But now you have Weleda Skin Food. This stuff will work on your face or your feet! It is organic-y and smells great. Ozark Natural Foods carries many of Weleda’s products, inlcluding baby stuff, Target has Weleda products in tiny .32 ounce tubes so you can try ‘em out. Weleda is also at Walgreen’s.
